Looking through a fashion magazine is enough to make almost anyone’s self esteem plummet. The models and celebrities are slim and gorgeous, the clothes are gorgeous, the hair and makeup are gorgeous. “Sure,” you think (okay, I think- I suppose I shouldn’t include those of you will healthy self-esteem in my well of insecurity), “if I had an unlimited budget, I could look like that, too!” I mean, if I could pay a trainer to work out with me every day of the week (not to mention find the time to work out), and have a nutritionist and chef plan and prepare healthy meals and snacks for me, I’d have the perfect body. If I could afford those clothes, I’d always look cutting edge, and with a hairstylist in my entourage, I’d never have a bad hair day. My trusty makeup artist would make sure no zit or wrinkle ever showed, and with the best and most expensive skin care and beauty products, I would always look my best.
Ah…if only! But I recently learned a budget beauty secret, and I’m going to share it with you: the most expensive beauty products are not always the best! That’s just what they want you to think, but it isn’t even true. There are some really wonderful products that fit easily into your budget, and you should not waste any tears (or money) crying over the more expensive versions. Here’s a list by Hollywood’s top makeup artists of their favorite drugstore brands. I know… you’re welcome!
