Add to favoritesSo I don’t know about you, but I am tired of all the Black Friday and Cyber Weekend ads. It’s not that I don’t enjoy a good bargain – I love getting discounts! I just feel that by turning on my TV this week, I have been pulled in every direction as to where to start my holiday shopping. As the ads increase, the marketing emails filling my inbox, I believe I have made my decision: this year I am staying home on Friday.
Besides the fact of my yearly pledge to get an early start on working off the extra pounds from Thursday’s dinner, I also realized there is a lot I can get online while avoiding the crazy lines and gridlock traffic. There are sites out there that regularly offer great deals and don’t need a holiday as a reason for it. Then there are those sites that focus on giving out free samples. I have seen sites that are giving free makeup samples, free perfume samples, even free house cleaning samples. It’s interesting because I am sure this turns potential consumers into satisfied customers by allowing them to test products first! Last year I got a free sample of Glade and have been using their products since. I also realized that I can do better on Amazon than in brick and mortar stores. And with Prime membership at its highest, it seems many consumers agree with me. I am definitely a fan of instant gratification but I can wait 1-2 days for delivery (often sooner) if it means saving a ton of money.
