Chicken is a classic dinner. It’s economical and it’s easy to prepare, but let’s be honest- it can get a little boring. The classics are classics because they work and you can always go back to your tried-and-true chicken recipes, but how about spicing things up a bit with these Chili-Lime Drumsticks from MyRecipes?
Chili-Lime Drumsticks
Ingredients:
- 16 chicken drumsticks
- Salt and pepper
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 1 teaspoon sugar
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Pat drumsticks dry and season with salt and pepper. Place in a flat layer in 2 large baking pans.
2. Mix remaining ingredients. Pour over drumsticks; turn them to coat.
3. Cover with foil; bake 15 minutes.
4. Remove foil and turn drumsticks; bake until cooked through – 35 minutes – basting often with pan juices.
5. Let rest for 10 minutes, then serve hot; or let cool, cover and refrigerate to serve cold.
This chicken dish serves 8 and is easy enough to throw together for dinner any night of the week. But because it also has a wow factor, try it at your next party and really impress your guests! This recipe is proof that you don’t have to spend too much time or money to serve an amazing dinner!
