Today for #SpoilYourselfSunday, we want to help you enjoy smooth, gorgeous, and soft feet on a budget! As we all know…winter is coming. Yep, we get it.
But it’s seriously a problem. Snow, wind, and general winter dryness are the unhappy triad that creates painful cracking skin, especially on feet. So, what’s the best way to moisturize your tootsies into submission this winter season?
- Use a foot file on your heels before bed to get off all that dead outer skin. Gross! Make sure to do this step over a trash can so you don’t have to clean that mess up later.
- Lather on some super-thick foot cream. No luck finding a quality cream that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg? Petroleum jelly (Vaseline), baby oil, coconut oil, or olive oil are household staples that can do the job in a pinch (and on a dime!).
- Pull on some cotton socks; the cotton will help your feet breathe while they absorb all that creamy goodness, and the socks will prevent your sheets from getting stained with oil or lotion.
- Sleep on it! When you wake up, your feet will be baby-soft and smooth. Repeat a few times per week when your skin is really dry.
